What is it?
Face contouring, also known as face sculpting, is a cosmetic surgical procedure that improves the general appearance of the face. If you’re goals are to improve the proportion of the face and all facial features, as well as make the face generally smaller, then face contouring is your answer. It can make a person’s facial features look more balanced as well as improve the facial outline. PHI has a panel of expert plastic surgeons who have an eye for detail for the features of your face. We use FDA approved products for all our procedures.
∙A face contouring surgery is performed while the patient is under general anaesthesia.
∙In the majority of cases, the procedure revolves around the nose, cheekbones, forehead, cheeks, or the lips.
∙There is no standard technique for facial contouring.
∙Each procedure is customised to fit the needs of the individual and may involve a combination of different cosmetic surgical techniques.
∙At most times, incisions are made inside the mouth or between the gum and cheek mucosa to give the surgeon access to most parts of the face, such as the jawbone.
∙The surgery can take anywhere between 2.5 hours and 5 hours, depending on how much change has to be achieved.
The results achieved by this surgery are fairly permanent as long as the patient maintains a healthy diet and weight.
